Every day at noon, a line forms at Sami's food cart. He parks it on the same corner, near the tall office buildings. He sells warm rice bowls, and he knows many of his buyers by name. "The usual?" he asks a woman in a gray coat. She nods and smiles.
Sami works fast, but he never rushes a person who is not sure. He lets them look and ask. His prices are fair, and the food is fresh, cooked that morning. Some days it rains, and the line is short. Sami still comes. He says the people who show up in the rain are his best customers, and he wants them to find him there.
