Help

Answers

In Estimate, choose the closest option. Calculate, Missing number, Word problems and Multi-step use whole-number answers of zero or greater. Fractions, decimals and negatives and Work back to the missing number also accept fractions, decimals and negative values. Follow the hint beside the answer field.

Without a timer, choose whether to see worked methods after each answer or at the end. Sprints show them at the end.

Time limit

In a 2- or 8-minute sprint, each submitted answer opens the next question immediately, even when incorrect. The timer pauses when this tab is in the background. Multi-step, Fractions, decimals and negatives, and Work back to the missing number have no timer.

Statistics include complete 10-question rounds and sprints that reach the full time with at least one submitted answer. Ending early shows the available results and methods but does not save a completed round. A sprint with no answers is not saved.

Hear each calculation

Turn on Hear each calculation in More settings to hear each question in this device’s voice. It stays hidden until you answer. Replay it or slow it down as often as you like; listening time is not counted. Showing a question in writing counts as practice with help.

Screen readers already read the written calculation, so you may prefer to leave this off.

Start untimed and choose a difficulty where you can work through the calculations accurately. Review mistakes before adding a timer. In a sprint, look at both correct answers and accuracy: more attempts do not always mean more correct answers.
