Reading sprints

A little quicker, only when the meaning stays clear.

How Reading sprints works

One session uses three different passages at the same level. Read each passage, then answer four questions with the text hidden. Review the explanations before continuing.

Four correct suggests 25 more words per minute; three holds the pace; two or fewer suggests 25 less. You choose the next pace. There is no deadline and no claim that the highlight measures your speed.

Pause hides the passage and stops the clock. Background tabs and answer-review time do not count. Ending early saves no completed session. Completing all three passages uses one practice start, not three.

Passages come from QuickenBrain’s English reading collection. Source credits stay with the text. This is practice, not a validated reading assessment.
