Left and right follow your facing
North stays at the top of the grid. The arrow shows your starting position and the direction you face. Turning changes that direction without moving you to another square.
Left and right are relative to your current facing. Start facing east: a right quarter turn makes you face south. A forward move keeps the same facing.
Follow a short route
Start facing east. Move forward 2 squares, turn right, then move forward 1 square.
The first move goes east. The right turn changes your facing to south, so the last move goes south. You finish two squares east and one square south of the start, facing south.
Try a different starting direction
Start facing south. Turn right, move forward 1 square, turn left, then turn left again. Which direction do you face now?
Follow the turns in order, updating your facing after each one. Moving forward changes your position but not your facing. The starting arrow stays visible.
