Practices you may try

Each test picks five of these six practices, with four fresh rounds per practice. The mix and problems vary between attempts.

  • Digit span

Recall a short run of digits in the requested direction.

  • Running span

Remember the last few digits of a stream that stops without warning.

  • Letter–number sequencing

Recall digits in ascending order, then letters alphabetically.

  • Sequence memory

Watch tiles light up, then repeat their order.

  • Visual memory

Study a pattern, then select its filled squares from memory.

  • Card memory

Study a short row of cards, then rebuild its order.

Your result is yours to explore

See which parts you recalled, alongside the original sequence or pattern. Every round has a saved review and links to keep practicing.

Before you start

  • Begin each round when you’re ready. You can take a break between rounds.
  • Some sequences appear briefly; other patterns let you study at your own pace. Once hidden, they cannot be replayed.
  • Leaving during a presentation or attention response marks that round as interrupted. You can skip a round at any time.
  • Your results stay available in Progress, even after membership ends.
