Each puzzle is a small crossword on one everyday theme, such as the kitchen or the weather. Every word crosses at least one other, and a word that crosses shares that letter.

Choose a clue in the list or tap a word in the grid, type the whole answer in the box and press Enter or Check. A right answer fills its squares; a wrong one leaves them empty, so you can try again. Capitals and spaces do not matter.

The number after a clue is how many letters the answer has. Letters from crossing words show in the grid as you go, and a word whose squares are all filled counts as solved.

Reveal a letter shows the next missing letter of the word you chose. Each one counts as a hint, and the result says how many you used.

Gentle has six short words, Standard eight and Bigger ten. There is no time limit; the clock only shows how long the puzzle took.

Print makes a large print copy of the puzzle on the screen, with its clues on the first page and the answers on the second.

The result counts the words solved and the hints used. A round with hints is saved to your statistics but left out of the community comparison.

The puzzles are for practice and enjoyment. A result says how this puzzle went, not what you know.

Tab moves through the clues. Enter or Space on a clue chooses it and moves to the answer box. Escape ends the round.
