Two cubes in this sun
Read the model as text

Seen from above, the ground is 7 columns across and 4 rows deep. Row 1 is the far edge and column 1 the left edge.

The sun shines from the left edge. Each cube of height moves a shadow half a cell.

The sun shines from the side or corner marked in yellow, and the small picture shows the shadow one cube throws in this sun. Every block is in view: nothing stands hidden behind another. Pick the plan, seen from above, that shows the whole shadow.

Help

A shadow falls away from the sun, and the higher a cube is, the further its shadow lands: each cube of height moves the shadow as far as the small picture shows. The ground under a block that stands on it is always in shadow, and light can pass under a raised bar. The plans show the ground from above, turned as in the drawing. Their two thick edges are the two near edges of the ground, and the dashed outline is where the model stands. Every wrong plan is a real shadow, of this model in another sun or of the model with one column changed, so each question has exactly one right plan.

Each round has six questions and no time limit. Choosing an answer locks it. Review the steps, then move to the next question. Finish all six to save the round. Active time includes reviewing the steps, but does not count time when this page is hidden. Speed does not affect your score.

Use Tab and Enter or Space to choose an answer. The number keys also select answers, except when another control is focused. After an answer, Enter goes to the next question.
