Check equal outcome chances

Balance sequences within each equal-probability group. Repeating the same independent procedure preserves that balance.

Check equal outcome chances

An unknown coin bias does not make every sequence equally likely. With independent flips of one coin, sequences with the same number of heads have equal chances. Give each output the same number from each such group, and retry every unlisted sequence.

XFlip 1XFlip 2

Coin X has an unknown, fixed chance of heads. Every flip is independent. Each chance is strictly between 0 and 1.

Read the flips from left to right. H = heads; T = tails.

  • Procedure: A

    Output 1: HT

    Output 2: TH

  • Procedure: B

    Output 1: HH

    Output 2: HT

  • Procedure: C

    Output 1: HT

    Output 2: HH

Any unlisted sequence means: discard the whole block and try again with fresh flips. Repeat the same procedure until it gives an output.
