The rules are given, not hidden
Start with the shown tile. Read the commands in order and use the visible legend. Each command acts on the tile left by the previous command; you do not need to guess a hidden rule.
Turn right: Turn the arrow one quarter-turn clockwise. Mirror left and right: Swap left and right. Up and down stay the same.
Switch fill: Change filled to hollow, or hollow to filled. Next dot count: Add one dot. After three, return to one.
Keep track of all three features: direction, filled or hollow, and dot count. A command changes only the feature its rule names.
Carry the result forward
Apply Turn right first. The arrow now points right. Then apply Mirror left and right: right becomes left. The arrow stays filled and keeps its two dots.
Order matters here. If you mirrored the starting up arrow first, it would still point up; turning it right afterward would give a different result.
Do not apply both commands separately to the starting tile. Use the result of the first command as the input to the second.
Follow a new two-command sequence
Start with the left-pointing arrow. First apply Mirror left and right, then Turn right. Which way does the final arrow point?
This checkpoint asks only about direction. In the practice, choose the whole final tile from four options, checking fill and dots too.
The three levels use two, three and four commands per question. Every round has six questions, followed by a step-by-step review.
Try it
After Mirror, then Turn right, which way does this arrow point?
- Down
- Up
Show the answer
Down
Correct. Mirror changes the starting left arrow to right. A right turn then makes it point down. The fill and single dot stay unchanged.
