Read the direction before the digits
Before selecting Show digits, check the direction. Forward means type the order you see. Backward means type that whole order in reverse, starting with the last digit.
Level 1 uses forward recall. Later levels can use either direction, so check before every run. The digits appear one at a time; the row below is a still example, not how playback looks.
Same digits, two possible instructions
For 4, 1, 8, 6, a forward run asks for 4186. A backward run asks for 6814. Reversal changes the positions; it does not sort the digits from high to low.
There is no time limit for typing. Check your order and use Backspace for a correction. Each digit is scored against the position requested by that run’s direction.
Read this run backward
The instruction says backward. You see the digits below, in this order. What do you type once the last digit has been shown?
Try it
For a backward run of 2, 9, 4, 7, what do you type?
- 2947
- 7492
Show the answer
7492
Yes. Starting with the last digit and moving backward gives 7, 4, 9, 2.
