Link each figure to its place
Study the figures for as long as you need. Notice which places hold arrows or flags, and how each figure is turned. Remembering only how many arrows there are can miss a change in direction.
When you are ready, continue to the brief blank screen. The figures then return in the same positions. Exactly one figure changes its shape or direction.
Level 1 has four figures. Levels 2 and 3 have six and eight. Every round has six trials.
Compare the same position
At position 2, the flag changes to an arrow, with the same orientation. The other three figures are unchanged.
The lesson keeps Before and After side by side to show the comparison. In the practice, the first board is hidden before you choose the changed figure on the second board.
Check the figure and its direction together. A familiar shape can still be the changed one if it has turned.
Find the one difference
Here is another static comparison. Check each numbered position against the same position on the other board. Do not compare two different places.
