Tangram
Fill the outline with all seven tangram pieces. No gap, no overlap, and every piece used once.

Example · Seven pieces fit together to fill the outline.
The outline shows thin lines where each piece goes. Compact figures.
1 puzzle · The clock starts when you move your first piece
The round ends when the seven pieces fill the outline exactly.

Fill the outline with all seven pieces
Drag a piece from the shelf into the outline. A piece near its place clicks into it.
The round ends when the seven pieces fill the outline exactly.
Press 1 to 7 to pick a piece, or Tab to step through them. The arrow keys move the piece you picked a half step, and shift with an arrow key moves it four times as far. R turns it a step, and shift with R turns it back. F flips the parallelogram. Enter drops the piece into the outline, and Enter again moves it to the next place that fits. Z takes back the last move. H puts one piece where the answer has it, and counts as a hint. Escape puts the piece down. End, or Escape with no piece picked up, stops the round.

This is the time for one figure at one level. It says how long this figure took you today, and nothing more.

How this data is usedHelp
Tangram puzzles use the same seven pieces every time: two big triangles, one middle triangle, two small triangles, a square and a parallelogram. Together they cover sixteen small triangles of area, which is exactly the area of every one of these tangram shapes.
Drag a piece with a finger or a mouse. A piece whose corner comes near a corner of the outline, or near a corner of a piece already down, clicks into place. While you drag, a faint copy of the piece shows the place it will click into. A piece that would sit on another piece, or hang over the edge, stays where you let go, and the page says why.
Every action has a key. 1 to 7 pick a piece, the arrow keys move it, R turns it, F flips the parallelogram, Enter drops it, Z takes back a move, H is a hint and End stops the round. When a piece fits in more than one place, Enter again moves it to the next one.
The fill has to be exact. A piece is either exactly in its place or it is not. A piece even slightly out of line does not count.
Easy draws thin lines inside the outline where each piece goes. Standard and Challenge show the outline alone, and Challenge picks figures with thin arms and corners that read more than one way.
A hint puts one piece where the stored answer has it. If your own pieces stand in the way, they go back to the shelf in the same press. Show the answer places all seven and ends the round as shown, not solved.
A figure you fill is saved with its level, its time and how many hints you used. A round you stop part way through is not saved at all.
The time is how long one figure took on one device on one day. It is not a measure of anything about you.
Rounds with a hint, and rounds where you showed the answer, are kept on your own statistics page but stay out of the comparison with other people.
Every figure is stored as the seven places its pieces go, so each one has an answer by construction. The page works out the outline from those places.
